when bad things happen to good poems

I've had this Robert Frost poem, Fire and Ice, stuck in my head all weekend, so I decided to write a response to it in an attempt to exorcise it from my brain.

Terrorist Attacks and Pandemic Disease

Some say the world will end in a terrorist attack
Some say in pandemic disease
From what I've seen of the War in Iraq
I'm putting my money on a terrorist attack
But if there are more people left who aren't dead
I've sucked up enough TV news to believe
that for the end of the world pandemic disease will kill
without reprieve.
